At Wondernest, we use the Tinkergarten method of teaching to inspire joy and curiosity in families through nature-based play. We aim to foster growth, connection, and lifelong learning for children and families in Montclair/Bloomfield and surrounding areas of Northern New Jersey.

At the core of Wondernest are weekly classes for children of all ages. We also have monthly community events, special partnerships, and much more.

Summer at Wondernest
This summer, there are several pop up classes for purposeful outdoor play at Wondernest. Choose which class(es) fit your schedule and join us for learning and fun!
Tinker Tots
A beloved favorite, our Tinker Tots class is back! This fall our classes use Tinkergarten's 'Wellness' curriculum, and lessons focus on the physical, mental and emotional wellness of kids. Classes are designed to be a family experience, and a caregiver should attend class with their child.
Recommended age: 1.5-4 years
When: Tuesdays OR Fridays at 9:30, beginning 9/9 or 9/12
Cost: $199 for 9 weeks

Tinker Babies
A special class for our youngest explorers and their caregiver - a chance to connect, discover, and ignite a love nature. In this 45-min class you can expect engaging, hands-on activities so babies can explore different textures, sounds, and materials. ​

Recommended age: 6-18 months
When: Saturdays at 12:00, beginning 9/20
Cost: $99.50 for 6 weeks

Tinker Kids
This class is at a day and time perfect for school-age children. This fall we use select lessons from Tinkergarten's "Wellness" curriculum, and helps develop physical, mental and emotional wellness of kids. This is not a drop-off class, but is a family class, and a caregiver should remain with each child.

Recommended age: 5-9 years
When: Thursdays at 4:30, beginning 9/11
Cost: $135 for 6 weeks
Tinkergarten (multi-age)
Perfect for families with siblings of multiple ages, or for working parents who want to join the fun. This class is designed for EVERYONE and will be a shorter class (45 mins instead of 1 hr) to provide a more flexible, affordable format.

Recommended age: 1.5 - 9 years
When: Saturdays at 10:45, beginning 9/20
Cost: $99.50 for 6 weeks
